Rocking it since 1985 and will never think she’s too old for anything.

This is the place where she can say “I made something today.”

Comments:

I refused to get a reference on the werewolf (it’s self-discipline and self-training). Instead, I stared at several wolf pics for as long as it took me to memorize what they looked like and understand their features better. Then I closed the pics and started on the basic lineart for this thing.

Used natural brush on the brush preset for coloring to get that sketchy and slightly dirty look. I used the erase tool with a 20% opacity, liberally. I thought the original painting looked boring so I added another drawing at the the bottom.

Process: click it!

Media: Adobe Photoshop CS (yes… the old one)

Comments:

In all honesty, I forgot to set the image resolution when I started on this and was using the default instead. I believe it had been… 300? And my canvas size had been 3000x3000 pixels. It took me three hours to color the whole thing. The colors were actually much more impressive than this one.

I didn’t realize my mistake until I saved both the psd and the jpeg— and saw the finished product. It was nothing but a horrendous clash of red, orange and yellow colors. It was tacky. So I opened the psd file again hoping I kept the color quality I had originally intended. No luck.

So I did the best I could with what I had. Sigh.
